Since the SmartAlex is an intentionally smaller scale event, one way to continue the upward trend in funds raised for the Alzheimer’s Association is for participants to raise funds in addition to their registration fee.

If you feel funny asking for money, keep in mind that most people who have been involved with fundraising have probably felt the same way. Remember that you are not really asking for money, rather, you are providing people with an opportunity to support an organization that is helping those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and their families through research, education and support.

Ask ANYONE who supports your fundraising efforts if their employer has a matching gift program - and you can double their contribution!
